I’ve seemed to have gained some sort of addiction to Ted Talks, but that’s a different post for a different time, lol.
It was through my new found addiction I stumbled upon a talk about how reflection can make us more grateful and mindful.
The presenter challenged you can become both grateful and mindful if you take a different themed image every day for one year. When the year is up, you’re supposed to reflect back upon the pictures and your notes about them.
The more I thought about how cool the project was, the more obsessed I became with the idea of it. Photography has always been a passion of mine, yet I’ve put it on the back burner for some reason; Maybe because I always felt I wouldn’t be any good at it.
However, after coding and almost dying a month ago, I made the decision nothing was being put on that burner again.
Since the lateness in April, I’ve decided to start my project on May 1, 2017. I found this amazing site that had ideas already planned out for each day. So, in cheating, and using their themes for the year.
I cannot imagine the benefits this project will have on me personally, and I’m looking forward to finding out.
Have you ever taken this challenge? If so, what were your thoughts on the project? How did it enrich your life?
